Familial adenomatous polyposis

Patient Data

Age: 55
Gender: Male

CT shows liver with hypodense focal areas of contours ill defined in seventh and eighth segments that are evident in the venous phase , without other focal lesions. No dilatation of the bile duct. Distended gallbladder containing homogeneous isodense without obvious calculations by this method. The colon with oral contrast, presents multiple filling defects, the greatest in the cecal pole.  There is no obstruction to the passage of oral contrast.

Case Discussion

CT findings consistent of familial adenomatous polyposis complicated by colon cancer with metastases to the liver.

Biopsy proven multiples tubulars adenomas and tubopapilar adenomas.
