Patient with previous mammoplasty 7 years earlier. Routine screening mammogram.

Gender: Female

Liponecrotic calcifications in the right breast related to a previous mammoplasty.

One year ago

One year prior, the calcification anteriorly in the right breast has been completely resorbed.

Case Discussion

Fat necrosis can change with time. This is an extreme case but the point is well made. Not all lesions that change with time are necessarily malignant.
