Fatal intracranial hemorrhage

Innumerable, mostly intra-parenchymal, hemorrhages throughout the cerebral hemispheres, brainstem and cerebellum. Early hydrocephalus. Midline shift to the left.
Case Discussion
This patient had an acute leukemia with profound thrombocytopenia, and passed away shortly after this scan. Intracranial hemorrhage is the most common hemorrhagic cause of death in these patients.
