Femoral tunnel cyst after ACL graft reconstruction

Case contributed by Dr Roberto Schubert

Presentation

Persisting pain 9 months after ACL graft reconstruction.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Sharply marginated lytic bone lesion without perifocal edema around the femoral fixation device of the ACL graft.

Case Discussion

Femoral tunnel cysts after LCA reconstruction are quite rare1. This one obviously does not contain fluid, but vascularized tissue (perhaps granulation tissue?).
