Case Discussion

Ultrasound findings favour an isolated simple cyst in the spleen at fetal maturity of about 21 weeks. There is a complete regression of the splenic cyst at 37 weeks scan.

Fetal splenic cysts are considered to be a rare but benign lesion. Follow up scans should be done in the third trimester and postnatal period to check the change in size.
