Fusiform focal thickening of sternocleidomastoid muscle, maintaining the fibrillar structure.

Case Discussion

Fibromatosis colli is a rare form of infantile fibromatosis that occurs within the sternocleidomastoid muscle.  It is a benign cause for a 'lump' in the neck in the newborn and infant.  It is classically associated with a traumatic or assisted delivery.
