Presentation

History of trauma in the past

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female
mri

Multiple eccentric cortical-based lesions with sclerotic rims and narrow zone of transition, the largest at the medial aspect of proximal metaphysis of the left tibia, and relatively smaller ones in the right lateral aspect of the femur, and left the medial epicondylar region. 

The lesions returning intermediate signal intensity on T1, high signal intensity on T2 with a low-intensity rim. No periosteal reaction is noted. No adjacent soft tissue component is noted. Few of the lesions showing mild post-contrast enhancement.

Case Discussion

Features of benign bone lesions, representing fibrous cortical defects. The mentioned lesions were not larger than 3 cm, otherwise, the name non-ossifying fibroma applies.
