Fibrous dysplasia

A young girl presented with progressively increasing unilateral swelling with deformity and bowing of left leg.

Patient Data

Age: 14
Gender: Female

Patients undergone radiographs left leg AP and lateral projections

There is large expansile lesion involving proximal -mid  tibial shaft  with ground glass matrix and bowing of tibia.

Case Discussion

The findings of xrays in a 14 Y/O patient compatible with fibrous dysplasia.

Fibrous dysplasia is benign condition seen in young age causing bony remodelling, bowing with ground glass matrix and cystic changes.
