Presentation

Cranial asymmetry and skull bulge posteriorly.

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male

An expansile curvilinear bony lesion is seen at the occipital bony region with preserved cortical outlines. It shows ground glass internal matrix with heterogenous soft tissue densities within.

Expansile occipital bony lesion with no cortical breach. It shows ground glass internal matrix with heterogenous soft tissue densities within. Widened diploic space with displacement of outer table of the skull. Normal brain parenchyma. No intra- or extra-axial fresh blood collections. Normal ventricular system with no midline shift. Unremarkable posterior fossa structures.

The described radiographic findings are compatible with occipital fibrous dysplasia.
