The bone of the left side of the skull and face, also involving crista galli and the mandible, is expanded with a characteristic ground-glass sclerotic appearance, typical of fibrous dysplasia. Vaguely seen is an expansion of the pituitary region and a pituitary mass, most likely a macroadenoma.

Typical MRI features of fibrous dysplasia with heterogeneous but predominantly low signal change within the affected bones (skull, face and mandible on the left). Pituitary mass also noted on axial images.

Very typical appearances of fibrous dysplasia.
