Expansile 1st metacarpal bone with diffuse ground-glass opacity and thinned cortex.
No fracture or soft tissue component. No periosteal reaction.
Case Discussion
The lesion was biopsied and the diagnosis of fibrous dysplasia was confirmed. Further evaluation by whole body bone scan and skeletal survey were done for the patient and showed no other lesion. Therefore the final diagnosis was monostotic fibrous dysplasia.
