Fibular metastasis: non small cell lung cancer

Knee pain.

Patient Data

Age: 70
Gender: Male

Extensive lytic destruction of the proximal metaphysis of the right fibula, consistent with metastatic disease. 

Case Discussion

The patient has a known history of metastatic NSCLC. 

Distal appendicular metastases are uncommon, especially below the level of the knee or elbow. Lung cancer is one of the more common malignancies to metastasise distally.
