Injury of right hand since 2 hours slipped and fell in the bathroom. landed on an outstretched hand. Swelling noted at the base of the 5th metacarpal bone.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Comminuted fracture the base of the right 5th metacarpal bone.

Case Discussion

The Ball-catcher view is one of hand x-ray views which sometimes may clarifying the fracture.

And also is used to showing the joint erosions in rheumatoid arthritis of the hand.
