Acute minimally displaced fracture of the distal fifth metatarsal. Mild soft tissue swelling.
Joint spaces are well preserved.
Case Discussion
This is a case of a fifth metatarsal fracture. The patient was given a controlled ankle movement boot and instructions for weight-bearing activity as tolerated. An orthopedic follow-up in 4 weeks was also recommended.
