The 4th flexor tendon is intact but is abnormally displaced from the proximal phalanx with a gap of approximately that contains fluid. Thickened A2 pulley with fluid at its expected attachment
Case Discussion
Rock climbing is the classic activity associated with finger pulley injuries with displacement of the flexor tendon a key finding and comparison between fingers helpful in determining which pulley is injured. As in this case, the A2 pulley is the most frequently injured.
