1st ultrasound in a primigravida patient. Single intra-uterine small gestation sac and fetal pole present. Cardiac activity present - 111 beats / min.
Case Discussion
The size difference between MSD and CRL is less than 5 mm. This is known as 'First-trimester oligohydramnios'. There is an increased risk of early pregnancy failure in such cases.
Six days after the 1st ultrasound, the patient presented with a complaint of spotting per vaginum. Ultrasound showed no cardiac activity.
