Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

Four consecutive displaced rib fractures of the mid right thoracic cavity.

No pneumothorax.

Case Discussion

Flail chest or segment occurs when three or more contiguous ribs are fractured in two or more places.

It typically occurs after high impact trauma.
