Flexor carpi radialis tendon laceration

Presentation

Right wrist palmar radial side laceration a few hours before the presentation. Ultrasound to check tendon/nerve/vascular injury.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

There is a discontinuity of the flexor carpi radialis tendon at the skin scar level. The defect between the two ends of the tendon measures about 22 mm. The adjacent radial artery is patent. The median nerve is normal.

Case Discussion

A male presented with a palmar radial side wrist laceration. Ultrasound revealed flexor carpi radialis tendon injury which was surgically repaired.
