Presentation

Right wrist radial-palmar side pain for the last one month. No trauma. Normal x-ray.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

A normal echopattern of the flexor carpi radialis tendon without tear/ tendinosis. Hypoechoic thickening surrounding the distal tendon along with hypervascularity. No breach of the adjacent scaphoid cortex. No effusion involving scaphoid-trapezium or 1st carpometacarpal joints. Patent radial artery and accompanying veins.

Case Discussion

Findings suggest tenosynovitis of the flexor carpi radialis tendon with a normal tendon.
