Focal cortical dysplasia

There appears to be thickening of the gray matter noted involving the left insular cortex, left lateral temporal lobe (superomedial and inferior temporal gyrus and Herschl's gyrus) and possibly also small portion of the middle frontal gyrus. Associated prominence of the sylvian fissure with abnormally deep appearance of the sulci in this region is noted. Suspicion of minimal thickening of the grey matter in the left-sided hippocampus also noted.
Case Discussion
Features suggest possibility of focal cortical dysplasia.
