Presentation

Recurrent attacks of seizures not responding to medical treatment.

Patient Data

Age: 16 years
Gender: Female
mri

The right parietal cortex shows a focal area of thickened cortex with blurring of the grey/white matter junction and abnormal increased signal on T2 and FLAIR sequences consistent with dysplastic cortex.

Case Discussion

The imaging features and clinical scenario are suggestive of focal cortical dysplasia.
