Thorn injury 5 days previously to anterolateral aspect of ankle. Complains of ankle-foot swelling.

Info
Linear echogenic foreign body focus in region of interest, measuring 21 mm in length. Its distal tip is superficial in subcutaneous plane 0.9 mm from skin surface. Proximal tip deeper, in digitorum muscle, abutting distal tibial anterolateral cortex 12 mm from skin surface. The foreign body is anterior and cranial to distal tibiofibular joint, directed to medially and cranially.
Tenosynovitis of flexor digitorum tendon.
Ankle effusion.

Photograph ~2 cm foreign body with a sheet-like structure adjacent to it. The other 1 cm long foreign body was not reported at US; it was superficial to the larger FB.
