Presentation
Complains of non-traumatic swelling in mid arm for past 2-3 days, no pain. Remote history of thorn injury to arm about 8-10 years earlier. Referred for ultrasound for swelling in arm.

- irregular, well-defined subcutaneous collection in region of interest measuring 25 x 13 x 35 mm (TRV x AP x CC), with floating echoes, abutting underlying muscle without involving it
- linear echogenic foreign body 5-6 mm long x 1 mm wide abutting wall of lesion
- patent superficial vein deeper to lesion, at its radial aspect
