Foreign body in arm

H/o thorn injury to anterior aspect of arm - 3 - 4 hrs.

Patient Data

Age: 40 yrs
Gender: Male

Linear echogenic focus is noted in  region of interest  - Foreign body.

Plane - subcutenous plane
          - Deep and perpendicular to to a non-thrombosed subcutaneous vein.

Length - 15 x 1.5 mm.

No hypoechoic granulation is noted.

Case Discussion

Findings favour foreign body ( thorn ) in subcutaneous plane of arm.

Surgically removed few hrs later.
