Injury (thorn) to the sole of forefoot 15 days ago. Complaining of local pain swelling and pus discharge.

Scanning from plantar aspect :
Linear echogenic focus is noted in region of interest - The foreign body.
Plane - subcutaneous plane and also penetrating superficial fibers of the muscle.
Length - 16 mm.
Superficial tip - 6 mm from skin - ( clinically - site of local skin breach ).
Direction - Towards medial malleolus.
(Deeper end is proximal).
Surrounding hypoechoic granulation is noted.
