Stepped on a nail.

Age: 13 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Ankle and foot radiographs verified the nail did not injure any of the foot bones.

Case Discussion

In plantar puncture wounds, besides the presence or absence of fracture, further clinical details are relevant to proper management, such as: if the patient was barefoot or wearing rubber-soled shoes; neurovascular status; if the patient is diabetic or not.
