Patient Data

Age: 7 years
Gender: Male

Metal density opacity is noted in midline pelvis - a trouser button.

Appears to be in rectum.

Case Discussion

Metal density opacity is noted in the midline pelvis - a trouser button.

It appears to be a mimic of foreign body. However, all clothing was removed before taking the radiograph. There was also a definite history of ingestion.

It is a true foreign body in the distal colon/rectum, not a mimic.
