Accidental needle piercing into the right heel.

There is a linear foreign body (needle) through the plantar aspect of the right heel pad.

Case Discussion

This case represents a metallic foreign body within a patient's heel pad - a needle that had pierced into the soft tissue when he was walking on the ground. He presented with a red and swollen heel pad that was warm to the touch - signs of inflammation.
