There is a radiopaque foreign body (a key) seen left para midline at the level of T12/L1, mostly in the stomach.
No evidence of free air (no perforation).
Normal distribution of intestinal gases with no air fluid levels (no obstruction).
Case Discussion
Most ingested foreign bodies pass through the gastrointestinal tract without a problem, or they can cause only minor mucosal injury. However, they may cause bowel obstruction, perforation, hemorrhage or abscess formation.
All patients with foreign body ingestion should be screened before undergoing MRI.
