Atrophic native kidneys.

Right iliac fossa transplant.   This concentrates and excretes poorly, in keeping with poor function.

The left transplant kidney concentrates and excretes normally.  Normal appearances of the collecting system and ureter which is anastomosed to the anterior aspect of the urinary bladder.  Small simple cortical cyst in the left transplant kidney.

Patulous distal ureters.

Case Discussion

Not an everyday scan.  Four kidneys.

The native kidneys are atrophic, the first transplant kidney in the right iliac fossa has 'failed' and a second functional transplant lies in the left iliac fossa.
