An area of diffusion restriction is noted at the left medial aspect of inferior pons displaying faintly bright signal on T2 and FLAIR indicating early subacute infarction.

Inferior medial pontine syndrome, also known as Foville syndrome, describes an infarction that involves the medial aspect of inferior pons affecting abducens and facial nerve nuclei (ipsilateral cranial neuropathy) and corticospinal tract and medial leminiscus (contralateral hemiparesis).
