Presentation

The patient hit the finger with a hammer 2 days ago. On examination: small wound at the ventral side of the distal phalanx with mild nail bed hematoma and tenderness over the distal phalanx.

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

A fracture of the distal phalanx tuberosity of the left index finger is seen.
