History of trauma to the left hand.

Displaced fracture of the base of the 5th proximal phalanx.

Case Discussion

Patient is a carpenter by profession.

Fracture is a result of direct injury to the little finger.

Phalangeal fractures are otherwise uncommon except in cases of direct injury.
