There is flattening of the head of the second metatarsal with adjacent reactive marrow signal abnormality and reactive capsular thickening. The articular surface of the proximal phalanx is preserved. No erosions or evidence of osteophyte formation. No Morton's neuroma or bursitis. The marrow signal in the remainder of the forefoot metatarsals and phalanges is normal. No regional tenosynovitis.
Comment Fragmentation and collapse of the 2nd MT head, consistent with Freiberg's disease.
