Presentation

Headache and runny nose with nasal cavity obstruction and nasal speech.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Mucosal thickening and fluid in all paranasal sinuses, most prominent in fronto-ethmoidal sinus with osteomeatal complex (OMC) obliteration associated with small osteoma up to 8mm in the left frontoethmoidal sinus. Rightward nasal septum deviation with small spur and mucosal contact.

Case Discussion

The associated frontoethmoidal sinus osteoma and paranasal mucosal thickening can be due to chronic irritation of bones. The most common location of paranasal sinus osteoma is the frontal sinus. An osteoma can slowly and progressively enlarge and penetrate the adjacent base of the skull
