Mild elbow joint effusion is seen.
A complete tear of triceps tendon measuring about 31 mm tendon gap just above the insertion site on to the olecranon process is seen associated with adjacent reactive soft tissue edema.
Focal thickening and increased fluid signal along the course of the ulna nerve at the posteromedial aspect of elbow joint related to cubital tunnel syndrome .
The metallic artifact is present at distal humerus diaphysis and condyles.
Case Discussion
A young male had fallen on the ground followed by diffuse swelling on the posterior aspect of the elbow and immobility. MRI shows triceps brachii tendon tear.
