Fungal pneumonia in an immunocompromised patient

Patient being treated for acute myeloic leukaemia. Cough, fever and dyspnoea.

Patient Data

Age: 60
Gender: Male

Infiltrate involving predominantly the right upper lobe. Characteristic air inclusions without fluid levels.

Case Discussion

Upper right lobectomy was finally performed and invasive mucormycosis was established as the final diagnosis.
