A new breast lump after discontinuing breastfeeding her 10-month old infant.

Patient Data

Age: 40
Gender: Female

BIRADS 2, benign findings. There is a well-defined, heterogeneous, oval and benign milk-filled cystic lesion.


There is a hypoechoic lesion with fluid debris levels.

Case Discussion

Galactoceles are benign milk-filled cysts. This lesion is generally discovered either during or shortly after lactation.
