Galeazzi fracture

Presentation

Patient was driving a motorbike, then bumped into a car. He had a excruciating pain in his arm and as a result, is unable to move his arm.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male
X-ray

On frontal radiograph, a fracture with of the distal 1/3 of the radius shaft associated with overriding, and associated dislocation of the distal radioulnar joint.

On lateral lateral radiograph, the fracture and dorsal dislocation is seen more pronounced, and a volar angulation of the distal fractured radius is noted.
