Presentation
Focal hepatic lesion identified on ultrasound.
Patient Data
Large well defined hypodense lesion seen in segment VI showing peripheral puddles of arterial enhancement with centripetal filling and nearly homogenizing with liver parenchyma in delayed scan.
Focal outpouching seen arising from the medial wall of gall bladder. No gall stones or features of bile stasis.
Gall bladder outpouching
Case Discussion
Patient came for evaluation of focal liver lesion which showed imaging features typical of a hemangioma.
The focal outpouching arising from the gall bladder was an incidental findings. This is a fine example to demonstrate primary cholecystic diverticuli that occur even in the absence of cholestasis.
