Gallbladder diverticulosis

Tender hepatomegaly with fever spikes.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

Overt distension of gall bladder with multiple mural outpouchings. Pericholecystic fat stranding with reactive hyperemia of liver, reactive concentric mural thickening of hepatic flexure of colon. 

Case Discussion

These features represent acute-on-chronic inflammation of the gallbladder with multiple outpouchings suggestive of diverticulosis and delayed bile transit.
