The gallbladder is grossly distended passing inferomedially to cross the midline at the level of the pelvic inlet. A large calculus in the neck of the gallbladder. Mild biliary dilation, without detected stricture of duct calcification. There is no free intraperitoneal fluid or gas. There is no gas in the biliary tree. No gallbladder wall thickening.
Calcifications within the uterus are most in keeping with fibroids.
CONCLUSION:
Gallbladder hydrops with a large neck stone.
Case Discussion
The patient proceeded to cholecystectomy and histopathology demonstrated active chronic cholecystitis.
