Presentation
Right upper abdominal pain.
Patient Data
Small well-defined echogenic lesion within the gallbladder lumen adherent to the wall measuring 7 mm with no posterior shadowing. The color Doppler shows internal vascularity. No gallstone was seen.
Case Discussion
Ultrasound features of a small echogenic lesion adherent to the gallbladder wall with internal vascularity on color Doppler most consistent with a gallbladder polyp.
Gallbladder polyps are rarely described in the pediatric population and the vast majority are cholesterol polyps1,2.
