Right upper quadrant round opacity with stellate lucency at the centre in keeping with a gallstone.
No air under the diaphragm.
Normal gastric bubble.
Trachea and major airways are patent.
Normal cardiac silhouette.
Bilateral hyperinflated lungs.
Right basal and left apical pleural plaques.
Normal soft tissues.
Case Discussion
The incidence of gallstones increase with age, affecting women more than men.
Some gallstones contain nitrogen gas which appears as central lucency on radiographs and on CT.
This resembles "crow's foot" and in some cases it will be stellate in shape.
