Marked splenomegaly with multiple splenic foci of low signal, they are tiny innumerable (Gamna Gandy bodies).

Case Discussion

Splenic siderotic nodules (also known as Gamna-Gandy bodies) of the spleen is most commonly encountered in portal hypertension. The pathophysiological process is the result of microhaemorhage resulting in hemosiderin and calcium deposition followed by fibroblastic reaction.
