Presentation

Two episodes of generalized convulsions. EEG shows a right temporal focus. R/o space-occupying lesion.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
mri

MRI shows a very subtle right temporal lesion, iso-intense on T1, slightly hyperintense on T2 & FLAIR. After gadolinium administration, there is a slight enhancement of the lesion. It is well delineated. The most probable diagnosis in this case in ganglioglioma. DNET is a less probable hypothesis.

Case Discussion

The diagnosis of ganglioglioma was confirmed on histology. There is an extensive differential diagnosis for temporal lesions associated with epilepsy. It includes :
