Approximately 5 mm large T1-hypointense and T2-hyperintense lesion of the right hand close at the palmar side of middle finger near the metacarpophalangeal joint. It is associated with the flexor tendon. There is slight rim enhancement of gadolinium-based contrast agent.
(The adalat capsule is a strongly T1w- and T2w-hyperintense marker on the skin surface.)
This case illustrates a ganglion cyst of the hand, the most common cyst within the hand and wrist.
Differential diagnosis to be considered:
- synovial cyst
