Presentation

Palpable mass at the dorsal aspect of the right wrist.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
mri

There is a 14 x 18 mm sharply-marginated, multilocular cystic structure with a thin capsule centred over the dorsal aspect of the capitolunate articulation, with a pedicle emanating from the distal fibres of the scapholunate interosseous ligament.

Intraosseous degenerative cystic changes are present along with the ulna styloid, lunate, and triquetrum bones.

Case Discussion

MRI imaging findings are consistent with the dorsal carpal ganglion cyst.
