Dyspareunia.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years

Anteverted retroflexed uterus with intramural leiomyoma measuring 36 x 34 x 32 mm (Figo 4).

Well-defined ovoid cystic lesion arising from the right lateral vaginal wall, located above the level of the most inferior aspect of the pubic symphysis, measuring 28 x 25 x 13 mm, displacing the vaginal lumen to the left. It elicits a high signal on T1 and T2 (proteinaceous content) with no restricted diffusion or peripheral enhancement.

Normal appearance of the ovaries.

Gartner duct cysts are typically located above the inferior aspect of the pubic symphysis, within the walls of the vagina. Usually discovered incidentally on ultrasound or MRI, the symptoms are usually due to the mass effect on adjacent structures.
