Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

A well-defined cystic lesion within the anterolateral wall of the vagina just above the inferior border of the pubic symphysis. The lesion exhibit areas of high signal on T1 suggesting proteinaceous material. Postcontrast series reveals marginal enhancement. It measures 19x31 mm. Normal appearance of the anterior and posterior walls of the cervix as well as the cervical canal. Intact T2 hypointense cervical stromal ring. Normal other vagina and uterus.

Case Discussion

Gartner duct cysts are located in the antero-lateral wall of the proximal vagina. The presence of enhancement suggests possible infection.
